Schedule a Consultation

A Consultation with the dentist is the first step in getting Invisalign Treatment
The first step is to schedule a consultation with an Invisalign-trained dentist or orthodontist. During this appointment, they will determine if Invisalign is the right treatment option for you. They will also take X-rays, photos, and impressions of your teeth, to create your customized treatment plan.

Treatment Plan

Your Invisalign provider will use the impressions of your teeth to create a 3D digital model of your mouth. This model will then be used to develop a customized treatment plan to outline the steps necessary to fix the misaligned teeth.

Create Your Aligners

Once the treatment plan is finalized, your Invisalign provider will send your X-Rays, impressions, and other details to a special lab to create custom aligners. The aligners are designed to fit your teeth exactly and will be replaced every two weeks. As your teeth shift over time, new aligners are built according to the new position of your teeth so that the alignment process continues.

Wear Your Aligners

You’ll need to wear your aligners for at least 22 hours daily. You should only remove them while eating, brushing, or flossing your teeth.

Check-Ins

Regular Dental Check-In is a must for Invisalign Treatment
You’ll need to visit your Invisalign provider every six to eight weeks to monitor your progress and receive new aligners.

Retainers

Once your teeth have shifted into the desired position, you’ll need to wear retainers to help keep your teeth in place. Depending on your specific situation, you may need to wear retainers full-time or just at night.
Invisalign Consultation
The steps for getting an Invisalign treatment may vary slightly from provider to provider, but the process is generally the same. If you’re considering Invisalign, schedule a consultation with an experienced Invisalign provider to discuss your options.
