Dr. Guneet Alag

DDS, FAGD

Dr. Alag comes from a family of doctors. She graduated from Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences in India and practiced for a few years there. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry where she graduated with Honors in Prosthodontics.
She is focused on providing personalized care while utilizing advanced technology and innovative procedures to create the most comfortable patient experience. She gets immense pleasure from improving patients’ smiles and giving them the confidence they need.

She was fortunate to be given an opportunity for social and community service by providing dental care to deprived and poor and delinquent children, and by spreading oral health awareness amongst the uneducated masses.

She has staged “Health Talks” on various topics like oral cancer, effects of tobacco chewing, brushing techniques, and taboos in dentistry. She has also worked for the National Pulse Polio Immunization Program for five years when she was in India.
She keeps herself updated through continuing education courses. Dr. Alag is also credentialed by AGD, CDA and ADA. She was awarded a Fellowship in Implantology by the International Dental Implant Association in 2018.
Dr. Alag moved to California with her husband in 2016 and has been practicing in the Bay Area since then. She loves traveling, biking and swimming in her spare time.

Dr. Dhillon embarked on her journey in dentistry with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Guru Nanak Dev Dental College in India, where she also served the local community and volunteered with a mobile dental clinic to aid the underserved population.

After moving to the U.S., Dr. Dhillon continued to pursue her passion for oral healthcare, earning a degree from the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2022. Dr. Kamalpreet is committed to providing comprehensive oral care, enhancing patient well-being, instilling confidence through beautiful smiles, and maintaining trust in the dental profession.

A member of the Southern Alameda County Dental Society, ADA, CDA, and AGD, Dr. Dhillon is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, enriching our clinic with cultural diversity and multilingual communication. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Dhillon enjoys hiking, traveling, and cherishing moments with family.

We’re excited to have Joanna as a part of our dental team at Fab Dental. Joanna, a Registered Dental Hygienist, graduated from Carrington College, bringing a unique blend of international and local expertise. Originally trained as a dentist in China, she earned her Bachelor’s in Dentistry from Nanhua University, enriching our clinic with a diverse perspective on dental care.

After moving to the U.S. in 2017, Joanna furthered her experience in the dental field as a dental assistant for four years, always placing patient-centered care at the forefront of her practice.

In her leisure time, Joanna loves to travel, hike, spend quality time with her family, and engage in a game of tennis. Her broad experience, commitment to patient care, and diverse interests make her a valued and multi-faceted member of our team.

Born and nurtured in Cúcuta, Colombia, Mafe embarked on her journey in dental care at Universidad Antonio Nariño, where she earned her degree in Dental Science, qualifying as a fully licensed dentist in Colombia.

In 2022, Mafe made the significant move to the United States, bringing her expertise and dedication to Fab Dental just a few months later in October 2022. Since joining us, she has swiftly ascended to the role of Lead Dental Assistant, a testament to her exceptional skills and commitment. Mafe is certified in coronal polishing, pit and fissure sealants, and radiation health and safety, further enhancing the comprehensive care we provide to our patients.

Though her entry into dentistry was through training rather than formal education, Didi has amassed nearly 27 years of invaluable experience in the dental field, showcasing her dedication and expertise in assisting with dental care.

Beyond her professional life, Didi is deeply involved in music and her faith. She has been teaching voice in a choir and playing as a church organist for almost 35 years, with a passion for the electronic keyboard. Didi’s commitment to her faith and sharing it with others is a testament to her compassionate and caring nature, which extends into her role at our clinic.

Rafael is a distinguished member of our dental team with a diverse and rich background in health care. Born in Havana, Cuba, Rafael embarked on his medical journey at CUJAE nursing school, where from 2003 to 2005, he not only qualified as a nurse but also earned a scholarship to study dentistry due to his outstanding performance.

Rafael’s early professional years were spent in intensive care, specifically within the pediatric service in 2008, before transitioning to the faculty of oncology as a substitute professor. His profound dedication to his studies culminated in 2013 when he received his Doctorate in Stomatology and Dentistry. After practicing in Cuba for two years, Rafael extended his expertise to Ecuador, where he spent seven years and successfully validated his dental certifications.

At Fab Dental, Rafael brings his extensive experience as both a nurse and a dentist to provide empathetic and top-tier dental care. Fluent in Spanish, he effortlessly bridges communication gaps with our Spanish-speaking patients, enhancing their comfort and understanding during their dental visits.
