Dental Crowns & Bridges In Hayward, CA

Restore Your Tooth — Starting at $99/mo with 0% Financing

What Is a Dental Crown?

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap placed over a damaged, weakened, or decayed tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and appearance. Once cemented in place, the crown fully covers the visible portion of the tooth above the gum line.

Crowns are one of the most versatile restorations in dentistry. They can fix a single broken tooth, protect a tooth after a root canal, anchor a dental bridge, or cover a dental implant. At Fab Dental in Hayward, CA, we offer same-day crowns, porcelain crowns, and zirconia crowns — all with 100% financing available.

When Do You Need a Dental Crown?

You may need a crown if you have:

  • A cracked, chipped, or broken tooth that cannot be repaired with a filling
  • A tooth severely weakened by decay where more than half the tooth structure is gone
  • A tooth that has had a root canal — crowns protect and strengthen the treated tooth
  • A worn-down tooth from teeth grinding (bruxism)
  • A large, failing filling that needs to be replaced
  • A dental implant that needs a crown placed on top
  • A discolored or misshapen tooth that affects your smile and confidence

If you’re experiencing tooth pain, sensitivity, or visible damage, call us at 510-342-3908 for a same-day evaluation. We serve patients from Hayward, Union City, San Leandro, Castro Valley, Fremont, and Newark.

Types of Dental Crowns We Offer

Zirconia Crowns

Zirconia is the strongest crown material available today. These crowns are made from a solid block of zirconia ceramic — they’re tooth-colored, metal-free, and virtually unbreakable. Zirconia crowns are ideal for molars and back teeth that bear heavy chewing forces.

  • Best for: back teeth, patients who grind their teeth, implant crowns
  • Durability: 5-25 years with proper care
  • Appearance: natural white, slightly less translucent than porcelain

Porcelain Crowns (All-Ceramic)

All-porcelain crowns offer the most natural-looking result. The light transmission of porcelain closely mimics natural tooth enamel, making them virtually indistinguishable from surrounding teeth. Best suited for front teeth where aesthetics matter most.

  • Best for: front teeth, visible smile zone
  • Durability: 5–15 years
  • Appearance: most natural-looking option available

Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) Crowns

PFM crowns combine a metal substructure with a porcelain outer layer. They offer good strength with acceptable aesthetics, though a thin grey line may appear at the gum line over time as gums recede. Less commonly recommended today given the advances in zirconia.

  • Best for: back teeth, patients needing high durability on a tighter budget
  • Durability: 5–15 years
  • Appearance: good, but metal line may show at gum margin

Dental Bridges

If you’re missing a tooth and don’t want to wear dentures, a dental bridge might be the right choice for you.

Dental Bridge is a natural looking new tooth (or set of teeth) made from ceramic or porcelain material, held in place by two crowns on adjoining teeth.

If you are looking for more guidance on dental bridges, their pros and cons, or pricing, you can request a consultation by calling our office.

Minimally Invasive

A Dental Bridge is held in place by two other Dental Crowns. There is no implant put in your jawbone. If you need a minimally invasive procedure, a dental bridge gives you that.

Multiple Teeth

A single Dental Bridge can replace multiple teeth. This is a big advantage over Implants since you generally can replace a single tooth with a single implant.

Little Maintenance

A Dental Bridge is placed permanently over your teeth. There is no need to remove them every night like Dentures.

Look & Feel

Dental bridge looks, feels and functions like real teeth. You’ll be able to eat your favorite foods, talk with comfort, and smile with confidence again.
