Dental Implants Cost

What are Dental Implants?

Dental implants are artificial roots that are placed in the jawbone to support a replacement tooth, called a crown. An implant can also support a dental bridge or denture.

Dental implants are typically made of titanium, a strong a durable metal that is well-tolerated by the body. The implant is placed in the jawbone and allowed to fuse with the bone. This process, called osseointegration, can take several months.

Once the implant has fused with the bone, a small connector, called an abutment, is placed on the implant. The abutment is used to support the replacement tooth.

The replacement tooth, or crown, is made to match the color and shape of your natural teeth.

How much does a Dental Implant cost?

The cost of dental implants can vary, depending on the number of teeth being replaced and the complexity of the procedure. To some extent, the cost of living in your area also plays a part in determining the cost of dental implants.

On average, the cost of a single dental implant is $3,000 to $4,500. The cost of the abutment and replacement tooth (or crown) can add an additional $500 to $3,000.

If you have dental insurance, it may cover the full cost, or a portion of the cost for the implant, abutment or replacement tooth.

Recently, some dental offices have started partnering with services like Care Credit and Lending Club. They then offer low monthly payments to cover the cost of implants over time. At Fab Dental, we partner with both Care Credit and Lending Club and offer $99/mo installment payments (conditions apply) for costly procedures like dental implants.
